3) The Data Forest publicizes The EPA's air monitoring program. Like with monarch butterfly wings, the greater the intake of toxins, the more vibrant the color of display. Steel mesh trellises project sound, air, wind, fog and rain, as well as supporting fast growth vines and rhizomes (bamboo) Patch, heap, and bubble patterns display a dynamics data ecoscape.

In put devices for the Data Forest include:
- EPA's CMAQ and NAAQS air quality monitoring project
- climatic readings, temperature, humidity, air pressure, wind speed and direction, dew point
- sun angle and intensity
- moon phases
- star constellation movement
- sound/noise monitoring
- health (respiratory and cancer) statistics

Urban space has already been equipped with an array of human-like sensory input devices. This project extends these capacities to output displays of affects and reactions to information by calculating this data and replaying it in coded forms. The New Queens Plaza will be given the abilities to show the Collective Emotional Intelligence of excitement, fatigue, embarrassment, enthusiasm and sorrow.
